With influences like Sabbath, Kyuss, Sleep and Windhand, I expected a generic but solid album. Ah, but they didn’t tell us what parts of those bands they meant. Gravity Well under-promised and seriously over-delivered with an album of space-aged Doom that’s closer in spirit to Acid King than any band I’ve heard. AOTY contender without a doubt.

Reaching For The Light

I've been a fan of Demonio since their first album, and this one is even better! The music has a lot more blues and psychedelic influence this time around, and it pays off big time. The guitar has a lot of distortion and reverb which makes the riffs feel like you are traveling through time and space. And the bass holds down a solid groove in the background to keep the music moving forward. This is some great fuzzy music and if you are into underground heavy psych, definitely pick this one up.
